Since 1977: our history
Grandi Cucine BLM was born in 1977 from the common passion for the catering industry of Loris Bolzicco, Luigi Laurino e Luisi Mamolo.
Their vision and their work ethic, focused on manufacturing to perfection following the principles of maximum quality, lead them to found our company: BLM – where each letter stands for the initials of the last names of the three founders.

It all started in a basement and in a garage…
It all started in a basement and in a garage…
In 1977 the founders started their activity at Loris’s house, using his basement for storage and his garage as a workshop.
They managed to make their way in the repairing and selling sector of professional kitchen appliances despite the limited space. This was possible thanks to their perseverance and their ability to make do with what little they had, which are innate qualities of Friulian people. Moreover, after the 1976 earthquake in Friuli, an increase in the demand for big implants was registered and numerous reconstruction jobs were needed.

After about 4 years, the headquarters moved to Udine, near St. Osvaldo, and almost as a challenge, the three founders started to provide and install kitchens and professional appliances for the transport ship industry, launching a partnership with Fincantieri. This new activity, carried out along with the main one, lasted for about 12 years.

In the meantime, BLM became bigger and moved headquarters again to Basaldella, UD. With bigger spaces and new machinery, the founders were able to dedicate themselves to stainless steel working.
The current headquarters
The current headquarters
In 2003, after 26 years of activity, the headquarters moved to the current location in Pozzuolo del Friuli, UD. With a client portfolio of over 4,000 clients, our company has become one of the leaders in this industry in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The BLM staff is made up of around 30 people, including administrative staff, installers, designers and maintenance technicians.
Thanks to the structure of our company and to the constant training, we offer turnkey service for every need. We also take great care in the designing, installation and technical assistance for every kind of kitchen.
In addition to new projects, we also work with second-hand material of every brand, which is selected and inspected with care and guaranteed for 6 months after the purchase. Moreover, we rent appliances for exhibitions, festivals, catering and different kinds of events.
